Can we talk about how Hairspray is a story where a not-conventionally-attractive girl gets the hot guy in the end without having to Become “Pretty.” Because we need more stories like that.
It’s also story about breaking down the barriers of racism which we also need more of.
And it’s about nice hair and cheesy dance moves, more things we need more of
It’s a movie where John Travolta plays a chic, which we need more of
love this post
Also, in addition to the not-conventionally attractive girl getting the hot guy, the movie also features an adult man being hopelessly in love with a very fat woman and not being afraid to show how much he loves her and how beautiful she is in his eyes. And she becomes more confident as the story goes on, but his feelings don’t change, because he already loves her as she is. We DEFINITELY need more of all that.
I’m a big fan of these “Last Lines” graphics that are going around, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon.
I’m sure there are plenty of other much better Rainbow Rowell versions, but here’s my contribution.
Yes, some of them have more than one sentence, so they’re not technically the last linE, and also I took out some “he saids” to make it look pretty.
I <3 Rainbow Rowell just a wee bit.
I’m also now super paranoid that these aren’t in fact the last lines at all. I did check my books so I’m pretty sure I’m right.
YASMIN(E) (I never know for sure how to spell your name, haha). I love love LOVE these. THERE’S NO AIR IN SPACE. BE HERE NOW. I want to hug this post. (And these are CRYING OUT to be bookmarks, if you ask me.)
